Our CEO, Ruth Evans MBE, visited Newton Court Cider yesterday. Founded in 1991 by Paul Stephens, an agricultural engineer, on the 157 acre organic farm, Newton Court Cider has grown and developed to showcase a variety of ciders and perrys. The newly opened café/visitor centre showcases the cider making area, enabling visitors to watch the 50,000l/annum facility produce a wide range of ciders and perrys. Whilst Ruth was there, Newton Court was producing elderflower cider on behalf of Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage brand.
It was great to bump into Gill Swann, who has joined the team to help increase sales to underpin Paul’s ambition to grow production to 1 million litres in 5 years time. Paul is currently looking for a Production Manager to help him expand and develop the production facility so please do contact him if you are interested.
