Battersea, London – Mondo Brewing present a new food and drink event steeped in Americana, pairing alternative twists on the classic dish chili con carne with local and international beers. Breweries in attendance include international friends 2nd Shift Brewing (St. Louis, MO), Åre Bryggcompagni (Sweden) and Fierce Beer (Scotland) alongside breweries a little closer to home, Elephant & Castle’s German Kraft, Hackney’s The Five Points and Market Harborough’s Braybrooke Beer. Good Harvest 2019 arrives fully formed, boasting food from 10 Greek Street, Dishoom and Prairie Fire BBQ, while also serving as a concept event for a larger Americana beer festival planned for 2020. A leisurely afternoon-into-evening schedule will be punctuated with Meet The Brewer/Chef panels, tutored tastings/pairings and three sets of bluegrass from London trio Lunch Special. The event aims to cater for all dietary requirements, where possible. Tickets go on sale Tuesday 1st October. Expect hay bales.
“I have fond memories of a chili cook-off festival I used to attend in Atlanta and I always wanted Mondo to deliver on something similar,” said Todd Matteson, Mondo Brewing Co-Founder and Director. “We wanted to develop the concept with talented chefs putting their own cuisine spin on the classic dish, tied in with great beers, great friends and great music. We’re excited about this year’s more intimate event before collaborating on something even bigger next year.”

About Us
Spun on an axis of collective experience, we brew beer that we want to drink, with our journey just as important as the destination. Founded in 2014, American brewers Todd Matteson and Thomas Palmer brought their night shift musings into the light and Mondo Brewing was born. A friendship underpinned by where they once called home, America, now taking root in Battersea. We make beer that is inclusive, not exclusive, with your enjoyment central to our approach.

About Prairie Fire BBQ
Prairie Fire leaves nothing to chance and always errs on the side of quality. Quality in ingredients, preparation, presentation and service. This obsessive commitment to the best has defined the culinary career of Prairie Fire’s Chef and Pit Master Michael Gratz. As an American expat in London Michael missed the artisanal smoked meats that his hometown Kansas City elevated to high art over the past 100 years. In 2013 PFQ was created to
celebrate Kansas City style smoked meats, sauces and fixings, bringing these mouth-watering dishes to discerning and hungry Londoners.
