St Peter’s Brewery is celebrating after picking up four medals in the Global Beer Master 2019, with two of its newest launches being given the thumbs up by top judges.
Unlike many beer awards, The Global Masters series is judged purely on taste rather than country, with every beer entered measured on the skill of its brewer.
All Global Masters are judged blind by the finest palates in the world – a panel of Beer Experts, Beer Sommeliers and senior buyers, which this year included the likes of Alex Stevenson, Edith Hancock, James Kellow, Anthony Gladman, Nick Bell, Sarah Hyde and Shane McNamara.
With hundreds of entries from all over the world, winning a medal is a remarkable achievement for any brewer and the calibre of the judges guarantees international recognition of all the medals awarded.
This year St Peter’s picked up a Gold Medal for its Cream Stout, Silver Medal’s for its newly-launched Stateside Pale Ale and its Old Style Porter, as well as a Bronze Medal for its new White Raven beer.
“We are delighted with these results,” explains John Hadingham, Managing Director of St Peter’s Brewery. “Our Cream Stout is a multi-award-winning brew that always goes down well with the judges, but it’s also very exciting to receive medals for two of our brand new launches, which is testament to our on-going commitment to quality and our top brewing team who continue to produce award-winning beers.”
