On the 10th of March, Omega Ingredients CEO Steve Pearce visited 132 Aviation Supply Squadron at Wattisham Airfield.
Formed in 1999, the Squadron is responsible for aviation supply support to the whole of the Army Aviation community. Mr Pearce delivered a talk to the soldiers and officers of the ‘7 Avn Sp Bn REME’, focusing on leadership, innovation, teamwork and culture. These values, at the core of both the Squadron and Omega Ingredients, were very well received.
The purpose of this visit was to kick off a working partnership with the Squadron, creating the ability to learn from one another.
They learnt about a local successful business, as well as the flavour industry itself. The talk gave both parties an insight to company growth, communication, and the ability to work well with others in active environments.
Mr Pearce also included his famous ‘Chemistry of Cocktails’ masterclass. Fascinating the soldiers and officers with the chemical magic of creating a spectacular drink and showcasing his talent as a biochemist with nearly over 40 years’ experience in the sector.
To conclude, Mr Pearce was also lucky enough to be given a tour of the Airfield and even granted access to one of the aviation units, taking a seat in one of the military helicopters. It was a wonderful day, and we will certainly be inviting the Squadron to Omega Ingredients for another innovative experience and exciting day!
