At Saxon Packaging, we have been very fortunate to have remained fully operational during the Covid-19 pandemic. As early adopters of implementing covid-secure procedures & best practices, we are delighted to say that we are still very much open for business as usual!
Since the government’s announcement on March 23rd, we have produced over a staggering 13 million boxes at our site in sunny Lowestoft, Suffolk; playing a critical role in supporting customers across various industries including food/beverage, medical and hygiene.
But these boxes don’t just make themselves…
The Saxon Packaging team have been working very hard throughout to ensure that our operations continue to run and our customers packaging needs are met. And we know that having happy customers is the result of having happy employees.
And with that, we’ve been making a conscious effort to increase staff morale and focus on the well-being of our employees during this pandemic. Which is why we have implemented several initiatives, such as online quizzes, jokes of the week, positivity calendars, employee rewards; and more recently a visit from our local ice cream van…
The team formed an orderly (socially distanced) queue, and each enjoyed a fresh cool ice cream on us!
“Everyone has been working so hard throughout the pandemic. I couldn’t be more proud of the team for how well they have all adapted, come together, and continued to perform under the challenges that Covid-19 has presented. Employee well-being is at the forefront of our culture here at Saxon, and this was a perfect opportunity to show a little gratitude for the teams tremendous efforts.” Andy Smith – General Manager
